Permanent

We offer permanent recruiting services in two different capacities.

1) Retainer โ€” You'll work exclusively with Velocity Tech to find the highest quality candidates and, ultimately, the best engineer for the job. When you hire us on retainer, your open roles are our top priority. Once we have your commitment with a percentage of the placement fee up front, you'll have our full commitment to your hiring goals. We'll agree to send you a set number of candidates within a short timeframe, and we always deliver.

2) Contingency โ€” Think of Velocity Tech as an added resource to your hiring team. We work on a requisition by requisition basis, so we can help you with one tricky open role or keeping your team full as your company grows. Together, we'll agree upon the terms of hire, but you'll only pay us if we place somebody at your company. Typically, the fee is a percentage of the new employee's wages.

Contract & Freelance

If you'd like to work with us on a case by case or project basis, we can do that too! Perhaps you're spinning up a brand new team or have a number of engineering managers to hire. We'll partner with you until the work is done.

Our contract department we will be supplying short to long-term freelancers to cover your immediate needs. If you have a project deadline and are looking for more support, we can also help on a project hire basis using the Statement of Work model. Contact us to learn more.

Velocity Tech senior partners

Embedded

The embedded model is unique to Velocity Tech, and is intended for teams who are hiring at scale. Here's how it works:

One of our Senior Partners works side-by-side with you and your hiring partners to build your engineering team. Whether we join you in office or meet regularly over Zoom, we'll take the time to understand your company's culture and your engineering needs. You'll essentially have a Velocity partner as a temporary "full-time" employee, without bringing us onto your payroll.

We'll help you from the very beginning of the hiring process โ€” meeting with your engineering managers for discovery calls, intake meetings, and interview process planning. From there, your Velocity partner will source A-list candidates, conduct interview screens, and guide candidates through their interviews with your company.
